Thanks to God

Well, for those of you who know me... hahahaha, you know that I have always wanted a beautiful Church wedding.  Ryan and I have been talking about this, and we agree on a Church wedding.   Well, today, after many phone calls, I have found a Church!  It is absolutely gorgeous with stained glass windows!  Here is Bluff Park United Methodist Church.  You can see the Church Photos under the main home page link!  Enjoy

New Website

I have found a new website, thanks to Kelly's Book, that I am obsessed with!  I love pussy willows and amaryllis flowers and there is a pic on this website under Details and Flowers then click on Decor.  There is a pic of a fire place and this whole decor used pussy willows and amaryllis.  Also, the pine cones under Weddings and Events are so cute.  Love the groom's boutaniers (spelling???). There are also lots of birchwood used throughout this website!  Truly an inspiration and exactly what I love!  This is the website.  Enjoy!  I am off to looking at places today, so wish me luck!

Back in Birmingham!  YAY!  Now I can get to planning and actually get a place to have a wedding... Wish me luck, I am planning on calling the places tomorrow and see what is available and AFFORDABLE!  I have a feeling it is about to get out of hand and that is NOT my goal of a wedding.  I will keep you posted on anything that happens tomorrow!

Let the planning begin

Hello!  Well, everyone knows by now that Ryan and I got engaged on Dec 18, 2008.  It was so exciting!  He was so romantic and of course I love the ring.  Now, with so much excitement it is time to start planning for the exchange of vows and a big celebration!  This will be all of our ups and downs in the planning process and hopefully keep our sanity until the honeymoon!  

As far as the date:  December 19, 2009 is the tentative date (pretty much as long as we can find a place in Birmingham, AL that is available).  If not, then we can work around other weekends, but that is by far our first choice.  It is my parents' anniversary (would be 45 years) and that is so special to me.  We love this time of year, football is over, the Holidays are always a great time, and it is not 100 degrees outside... even though I am in Florida right now and I think that it might just be that hot...

So, I will start as soon as we both get back to Birmingham to find the location of this big celebration... then plans will go on!

The color scheme is green and champagne with slight hues of dark red, here is a pic of some flowers that cover what I am talking about since I lack in the description areas...
